Veils 101 -- Important Info -- FREE.....

Here's some great info regarding veils you should know before you go ...
Finishing touches 101:
Cut edge .. means the veil ends with the veil edge untrimmed
Ribbon edge: usually satin or sheer organza .. widths 1/4" to 3"
Rattail edge: a rolled type of cording, usually of satin fibers ... would look like a tail if the cord was uncoiled flat on a table.
Scallopped edge: the veil edge is cut in a scallop design ... and can be hemmed or embroidered.
Hemmed or pencil edge: ... a very fine stitching done against the edge of the veil to give it a finished look, without adding the line that a ribbon or rattail edge adds.
Mantilla: (man-tee-ya) ...usually a one-tier veil of cathedral length.. often edged in a wide lace border (generally french or spanish imported laces .. expensive) ... all the way from crown edge to crown edge. The mantilla can be put on a comb, or attached to a juliet/nurse's style cap or hat (much nicer touch). Sometimes an extra tier is added, short-term for the blusher. Average price elsewhere to $400 and then some, but not here!

Veil Trims 102
Veils can be plain ... but much nicer looking if you add light scatters of pearls, sequins, crystals, or beads, etc. of similar style to the chosen gown. This is in combination with the selected edging (noted above). We do any one trim item for no charge .... extra charge $15.00 for 2nd items (i.e. pearls and sequins). Everything is applied by hand, one tiny piece at a time. Custom orders and designs welcome at all times!
